The features of this trip are the amazing Cathedral Fig tree, the Crater lakes Mabo and Euramo and the cool mixed rainforest canopy we cycle through. There are opportunities for a swim in Lake Tinaroo and associated creeks. We have morning tea at the beautiful Kauri Creek where cool, pristine water flows from the hills. The vegetation changes to more open eucalypt before we exit at the Tinaroo Dam wall where we have a short walk and take in the views of this impressive structure. We enjoy a light meal in the village before returning to Yungaburra.
Road surface – good gravel and some bitumen. Approximate distance – 30km. Difficulty level – moderate. Price includes, mountain bike and helmet, transfers, smoko, picnic lunch and National Park fees.
